Classic Americana! The ice cream is top tier in flavor and texture. The candies are reason to celebrate. The environment is gorgeous between the marble tables and tiles, and the Tiffany lamps on the counter. Friendly staff. A jewel in Cincinnati.

Table service at an ice cream parlor was a first for me but it added to the charm of this whimsical establishment. The service and decor were top notch. The peach ice cream and bourbon street sundae absolutely hit the spot and the portions were huge! TLDR: Just some really good ice cream.

What is it about the summer where every night you need a little sweet treat? I'd never been to Aglamesis so had to try it. It's an institution. Walking in is transporting back in time. The ice cream was good, and has a nice texture. I do wish they had more flavor offerings. The waffle cone was good, not great. I'd never had a chocolate soda so I had to try it, and it was refreshing. Service was quick and friendly. Definitely worth trying this place and the vibes are nice. Parking could be tricky if you can't find a spot on the street.

Perfect treat for a walk around town. I came here a few weeks ago and found that their storefront underwent beautiful construction. The store is a little cramped if there are too many people inside but I luckily went with only a couple people. Everyone is so nice and they have chocolate if you're not feeling ice cream.

I couldn't believe it - an old-fashioned ice cream parlor where you can sit down at a table, order your confection and have it brought to you! The menu has lots of variety: scoops, sundaes, sodas and floras, banana splits- you name it! We sat at the cute tables in the back of the shop, which was decorated with mirrors and pink and white wallpaper. We both ordered single scoop sundaes, served in a traditional cold metal dish. His was hot fudge with nuts, mine butterscotch and sprinkles. Good stuff! And our server was very nice and quick. Street parking. I'm gonna be honest though: the 4 stars are mostly in respect for the history of the place, the ability to sit and order like the "old days" (note: this was even before my time -- and you can order at the counter and take away if you want here now too), and the cute, old fashioned decor. And because of the dad who brought his little daughter in and were having a "fancy" ice cream together. Ice cream wise, I would normally want cold, firm ice cream (ours were tasty but a little melty). And our server mentioned they make their whipped cream in house every day which I really like the idea of! But it too was melty, more like a heavy cream on top of our sundaes. Maybe need to re-whip the whipped cream before serving, or make smaller batches multiple times per day. But what do I know! I'm not an ice cream shop operator-- I'm just an ice cream eater! Anyway, this shop is a definite must-do for the old fashioned experience!

My dad and I came to Aglemices for every special occasion growing up. We'd split 3 scoops of chocolate chip ice cream with chocolate Jimmie's. It was always a competition to see who could find the biggest chocolate chunk. And if you haven't had their chocolate chips before- you need to. They're massive! This place is so nostalgic for me and not just because of the 1920's decor. Highly recommend coming here as much as possible!
